At R.H. Sheppard Co., Inc., we offer training and development opportunities for employees at all levels. New production employees participate in on-line training courses designed specifically for their position, including courses in Basic Shop, Advanced Shop, Blueprint Reading, Statistical Process Control, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and many others. Foundry employees receive job-specific training on iron pouring, defect identification and other procedures specific to the foundry operation.
Employees also receive training on safety regulations, 3P and Lean manufacturing methodologies, including PDCA, 6S, Visual Factory, Standard Work, Kaizen, TPM and SMED.
Our Engineering Departments offer on-site training in Computer Aided Design systems, 3D modeling and simulation, manufacturing and casting technologies as well as the latest requirements related to ISO/TS standards.
